The annual Scientific Conference and All Fellows’ Meeting (ASCAF) is a major scientific cum social event of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) in collaboration with the Postgraduate Medical College Fellows Association (PMCFA) that brings together all Fellows to discuss academic and cutting-edge research findings and provides opportunities for networking amongst fellows of different Faculties as well as Fellows in the same Faculty. Faculty-specific events including ‘Faculty Day’ and elections are usually organized during the conference and the Postgraduate Medical College Fellows Association, ‘All Fellows Meeting’ is held on the last day of the conference. There are usually social programmes including the annual Gala night and dinner.
The Theme for this year’s event is Challenges of Medical Training & Practice in Nigeria while the Subthemes are:
1. Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Medical Education and Quality Healthcare Delivery.
2. Improving Medical Practice through Public Private Partnership.
3. Harmonizing Training and Assessment in Medical Education.
4. Mental Health and wellbeing: Addressing burnout amongst healthcare workers.
